VIDEO: Fantasy in the (Modern) City, @RavenCon 2017, 4-29

As you might remember, I had posted my questions for Fantasy In the (Modern) City on my blog before I left for RavenCon.

This is how it actually went.

Remember, the description:
With the rise in popularity of urban-based fantasies, so increases the complexity of storytelling. Sure, you know what's happening in a modern world. But does including a fantastical element have its own challenges? Discuss the challenges of writing fantasy in a modern setting, and how the different choices made by authors influenced their stories.
And it included .... me, obviously.

Jim McDonald
Jennifer R. Povey
Liz Long
Wayland Smith (far end)

On this panel, I was surprised by a few things

  1. No one knew Larry Correia.
  2. People really, really liked my "Throwing Stars of David" comment.

Who knew?
