Election Day: Who would Deathstroke Vote For?

Between Captain AmericaGreen Arrow / Green LanternSpider-Man (Peter Parker), and Batman (Bruce Wayne)Iron Man (Tony Stark)DaredevilDeadpoolCatwomanSupermanFantastic Four, and Luke Cage ....it's already been a busy day.

But for those of you just showing up, we're doing an expanded version of the 2012 post where I broke down comic book characters by politics. Because the 2016 election has been a joke since the nomination process.

This will be an all day thing. One post per character ... mostly. The shorter ones will be grouped together. After all, there's no much I can do with Deadpool.

Deathstroke / Slade Wilson

Slade Wilson is interesting.

On the one hand, Slade is a mercenary, and will pretty much take jobs from anybody, that will put him up against almost anybody. He will generally not go up against Superman. But then, this was the guy who, when he first met Batman, he beat the crap out of him, and left him out cold. That's right, since Batman wasn't the target he was being paid to kill, Deathstroke left him alone after beating him.

He's a mercenary with a code of conduct and a sense of honor.

Who knew? Isn't that contradictory?

Also, what does this have to do with politics?

Simple enough: Deathstroke would vote for whoever he thinks would get him the most work.

On the one hand, if Slade believed the rumors that Hillary has had a few dozen people killed (and he'd be able to confirm or deny that), he'd see a golden opportunity to cash in on the havoc, and probably be paid to be the assassin in question.

On the other hand, if Slade thought that Trump would cause the most havoc, he'd go for Trump. Though that's doubtful. Let's face it, Trump seems to have declared that he doesn't want a war with a nuclear power like Russia, and he's virtually isolationist...

Unless the conclusion would be that Trump would use a mercenary like Deathstroke to do all the dirty work.

Verdict: Whoever he thinks he can get the most work out of.

  1. Actually, I think Deathstroke would be happy either way. He's probably the only super in America actually celebrating. Yes, I am counting super villains.
    Well, except Dr. Doom.
Dr Doom might be very happy. This way, he can harvest brain trust fleeing the election results. So he'd probably vote for Hillary because he'd get better quality braintrust. He's not interested in Cher, Kayne West or Dennis Rodman.
