Thanksgiving and Giving Thanks

There are a whole bunch of people for whom I'm thankful for this year, and the list is long. Especially since I don't think I did any of this last year.

First, I would like to thank the Puppy Kickers of 2015 and 2016. Yes, them. I would like to thank them, from File 770's comments section to Arthur Chu -- especially Arthur Chu, as he brought me into Sad Puppies 3 after I saw his hate-filled, disdainful comments about Brad Torgersen's wife, referring to her as a human shield because she's black.  That pissed me off, and made me aware of Sad Puppies in the first place, and started me on the path to Sad Puppies Bite Back. I suspect that Sad Puppies and these political fights have actually brought me most of the readers I have right now.

So, thanks Arthur, and thanks all of you freaking psychos that make me work just a little bit harder to kick your asses all over the internet.

I would like to thank all of the people who supported Sad Puppies Bite Back, sometimes with ideas, and sometimes just by staying neutral -- Jason Clarke, Will Lehman, Jonathan LaForce, James Schardt, Katie Paulk, Marina Fontaine, Matt Bowman, and to some degree even Tom Kratman and John C. Wright.

To John C. Wright and his lovely wife Jagi -- if only for being on my radio show so often.

For Russell Newquist of Silver Empire, for picking up The Pius Trilogy and planning to rerelease them and unleash them upon an unsuspecting world.

For Dawn Witzke, for the cover art and the audio editing. Yes, she helped edit Sad Puppies Bite Back, the audio ... so if there's a mistake, it's her fault. BwahahahahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Anyway....

The Injustice Gamer, for reading my books, and giving me a review format I should steal. Nicki Kenyon, Lin Wickland, and even Jim McCoy for reading my books and finding them tolerable.

Brian Niemeier ... mostly, just for being himself.

Vox Day, if only for how gracious he was in handling my submissions.

Everyone at LibertyCon, for making my first convention easy.

Everyone at Baen ... for a multitude of reasons.

And thank God for all of the above, and for everything else I have.

I know I'm missing a whole host of other people, but my brain is so fried, I have no idea what I'm missing, or who.

Anyway, enjoy the bird today,  and please,  don't do Black Friday if you can avoid it, just check out the black Friday shopping blog from Tuesday, perhaps check out some gift sets in the tabs above. it'll be safer, and it's giving the gift of books.

Be well all.
