I should probably do my yearly “Accounting” in November. Because when in doubt, screw Black Friday.
Aside from the occasional visit to friends in other states (Hi, Jason) I avoid Black Friday.
Not only do I avoid going ON THE ROAD on Black Friday, I make it a point to avoid any major shopping centers between Thanksgiving and New Years.
So for you, I suggest you get some books to give for Christmas.
To start with, all of my books can be found here, over at Book2Read. It saves me from having to rewrite this exact post every few minutes.
And may I suggest you take a look, and if you want to buy books for people, you could do worse than pick some of mine.
